On March 28, the Municipal Cuipai Art Research Institute received a congratulatory letter from the municipal government. The Yu Opera "Ma Piyao Leaving Beijing" performed by the theater was awarded the "Zhu Jinhua Award for Outstanding Drama" at the China-ASEAN Drama Week, and the lead actor Yang Shaolong was awarded the "Zhu Jinhua Award for Outstanding Actor". This is the first time that a large-scale play in our city has appeared on the international stage. It is a vivid practice of excavating, publicizing and displaying Anyang's rich historical and cultural resources.

On December 28, 2021, at the invitation of the organizing committee of the 9th China-Asean (Nanning) Drama Week, the excellent play Ma Piyao from Anyang Cui Pai Art Research Institute participated in the online performance of China-Asean excellent plays. In this art festival of international cultural exchange, 38 domestic and foreign operas, such as Lao puppet show, Vietnamese water puppet show, Chinese Peking Opera, Yu Opera, Wuju Opera, Yue Opera, etc., were staged in rotation. Yu Opera Ma Piyao Out of Beijing stood out from it, with more than 1.1 million viewers watching the play online, ranking first among the 32 plays.

"The success of the play in the '9th China-Asean (Nanning) Drama Week' not only shows the artistic quality of the play itself, but also shows that the unique charm of Cui Pai art has been unanimously recognized by the experts of the organizing committee." Talking about the experience of a few months ago, Yang Shaolong still remembers. Although the landing performance was not achieved due to the epidemic, the online performance made the Cui Pai Art Research Institute of Anyang City the biggest hot spot and highlight, and it caught fire.

Yu Opera "Ma Piyao out of Beijing" is an excellent patriotic theme historical drama created by Ma Piyao, the owner of Ma Manor in our city. The play tells the tragic historical facts of Ma Piyao's devotion to the government, devotion to the people, devotion to the king, raising military expenditure, strengthening coastal defense, and protection of southern China during his term as governor of Guangdong, eulogizes Ma Piyao's feelings of family and country and sense of responsibility, and is a thought-provoking and inspiring patriotic drama.

As the protagonist of the drama Ma Piyao, Yang Shaolong has played many classic characters, such as King Wen in the Yu Opera "King Wen Bagua", Yue Fei in "Dongting Autumn", Secretary Yang in "Red Flag Canal", and Cao Cao in "Cao Cao's Heir". Interpreting Ma Piyao, a model of Baguan, made him feel deeply: "In order to play Ma Piyao well, in addition to mastering the historical context of the characters, we should also use new performance procedures to give a deep artistic interpretation of the characters' images and their inner world." With our own deep interpretation and experience of the characters, combined with the concerted efforts and careful polishing of the cast and crew, we were able to create this masterpiece of art."

Yang Shaolong introduced, Yu opera "Ma Piyao out of Beijing" rehearsed at the end of 2013, is the city's Cui school of Art Research Institute in-depth excavation of Anyang historical and cultural resources to create another fine masterpiece. First-class creative team, super cast, careful life rehearsal, perfect artistic presentation, so that the play won the 13th Henan Provincial Drama Competition Chinese drama Award and other individual awards, in 2015 won the sixth Yellow River Drama Award gold, is the only stage drama in our city twice won the provincial awards.
