Synopsis:

At the end of the Sui Dynasty, when Luo Yi was a teenager, he went to Beijing to take the examination, and on the way, he fell sick in the Jiang family set, and was rescued by Jiang Guizhi's father, who let his daughter, Jiang Guizhi, teach Luo Yi the Jiang family's fancy spear technique. The two of them practised the spear together and fell in love with each other, and were married by Jiang's father. A year later, when Luo Yi went to Beijing to take the examination again, Jiang Guizhi was already pregnant. After they parted, it was difficult for them to communicate with each other. Jiang Guizhi's parents died and she left her hometown with her son, living in Longkou Village. During the Sui Dynasty, Luo Yi joined the Wagang Village and married Qin, giving birth to a son, Luo Cheng. Forty years later, Shi Danai and You Junda of the Wagang Village borrowed grain from Longkou Village, and Jiang Guizhi learnt that Luo Yi was in the Wagang Village, so she took her son Luo Song and grandson Luo Huan to the Wagang Village in order to be reunited. Luo Yi is afraid of being blamed by Qin and his son Luo Cheng, and he is also afraid of losing his dignity as an elder in front of the public, so he denies his marriage with Jiang Guizhi. Seeing that Luo Yi has forgotten his former love, Jiang Guizhi is furious and puts on her armour and mounts her horse to fight with Luo Yi in front of the generals of Wagang fortress. Luo Yi had no choice but to fight, and was knocked off his horse by Jiang Guizhi. Luo Yi was so ashamed that he admitted his wife and confessed his guilt. Jiang Guizhi is persuaded by everyone to reunite with Luo Yi, and the old couple is reunited again.
