Synopsis:

This is a short story written in 1943 by modern novelist Zhao Shuli. It depicts the story of a pair of young men and women in the liberated areas during the war period who, in pursuit of the freedom of marriage, break through the obstacles of feudal traditions and old-fashioned parents and finally get married.
